Welcome back to part II of Don’t be a “Loh!
When we left off, we were just getting into cognitive dissonance. Another form of cognitive dissonance is when, “Sometimes you might find yourself engaging in behaviours that are opposed to your own beliefs due to external expectations, often for work, school, or a social situation. This might involve going along with something due to peer pressure or doing something at work to avoid getting fired.” Cancino-Montecinos S, Björklund F, Lindholm T. We see this now with people taking a vaccine because a workplace told them that they should. The fear of losing their livelihood is enough to get them to get the vaccine, even if it goes against their values. People have to realize there is already nothing left to lose when fundamental rights and freedoms are trampled on. “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free” Ronald Reagan.
Now we understand why people take the vaccine, and then post about it as if it’s some giant accomplishment. They shout, “I trust the science, and so should you!” While it can be annoying, it is still okay since we live in a society of free speech (for now at least). It is totally fine for these people to post whatever they feel.
The real issue with “Lohs” is that misery loves company, which can be understood as, unhappy people like other people to be unhappy too, or to put a somewhat more positive spin on it, fellow sufferers make unhappiness easier to bear. When people are “Lohs’ it bothers or “triggers” them that there are people who question and act in free will. For this is a direct contradiction to the “Lohs” and it irks them at their deepest core. It is the fact that they are living a delusional lie and they know it.
When people live a lie they will feel it in one way or another. However, there comes a point when a “loh” experiences an awakening where they can’t carry on living disillusioned. This moment will be the call to action for them to elevate themselves, which is in their survival nature by instinct. Therein lies the solution to the “Loh” mentality. People have to at one point or another stand for something, be congruent in their actions, accountable, and have self-resolve. “It took untold generations to get you where you are. People don’t need to wait for an awakening moment. They can start simply by taking a hard look in the mirror and demand more of themselves. This means developing self-respect, putting down junk content, and replacing it with books and other intellectual material. Next, they have to shake off the shackles of self-doubt, limiting beliefs and shedding any people that aren’t determined to grow from the victim’s “loh.”
Healing and rewiring our brains is our sole responsibility and comes from the soul that speaks to us. Often “Loh” people ignore this inner voice or suppress it. “Our human nature seeks to preserve our being. Our spiritual nature seeks to expand our being,” (Thomas Capshew, Ph.D. – Author of Consciousness Rising). Once a person understands this fundamental truth, they will begin to make the shift to a higher state of being that will dramatically change their lives and inspire those around them.
In Capshew’s book, “Consciousness Rising”, he explains, “Consciousness creates power. Power creates harmony with our Creator and with each other. When in harmony, our heart directs our life, aligning us with our inherent passion and purpose for living. As we clear the wounds of our individual and collective past, we cannot help but join Consciousness rising.”
